Stolen Ukrainian grain offloaded in Latakia by *Matros Koshka* with AIS off — clear sign of illicit trade. Easy access to Tartus (Sparta IV) confirms tacit approval through economic deals. Similar patterns in Egypt: grain for arms & nuclear cooperation. Tracking is essential. #Russia #Syria

Good morning everyone and have a good start to the week. We hope to have some nice photos of LADY D, to do some analysis.

The vessel is en route to the port of Porto Nogaro, Italy, sailing at a speed of 7.5 knots and expected to arrive there on Oct 14, 08:00...do you think it can do like the LAUGA?

On 04 OCT 2025, RFS Grad (575) was hit by a Ukrainian drone on Lake Onega while transiting to the Caspian Sea. Severe engine damage left it inoperable. The strike highlights Russian inland route vulnerabilities and Ukraine’s extended drone reach (~1,000 km).

🤔 Interesting assessment but to be considered with low confidence

Great summary to keep and bring out next time.

Russian-flagged cargo vessel Lady D (IMO 9349289) is now underway in the Western Mediterranean at 9.1 knots after a brief stop in Oran. Given its proximity to the Algerian naval base at Mers El Kebir, further analysis is needed to assess if military cargo or equipment was loaded or offloaded.

Russian-flagged cargo vessel Lauga (IMO 9111060) is currently navigating off the French coast en route to Saint Petersburg. Recent course adjustments suggest an effort to avoid worsening weather conditions in the Bay of Biscay while maintaining progress toward its destination.

French Navy support ship Rhône (A603) is monitoring Russian-flagged vessel RN Neptune (IMO 1090351), currently in the NE Atlantic en route to Ust-Luga. A subtle but steady French presence shadows movements near the Channel and along western approaches. @claudialanz.bsky.social

Vessel LADY D (IMO 9349289, Russian-flagged) departed Oran (Mers El Kebir) after a brief stopover at the military port. Nature of the visit remains undisclosed — no declared cargo operations. Lack of destination AIS data. Given the port of call, a military-related cargo is strongly suspected.

🚨The #LAUGA appears to be making a slight course deviation, potentially due to deteriorating weather conditions. As it approaches the English Channel, it will be critical to observe whether UK assets shadow this vessel—allegedly a drone-carrying merchant ship.
All eyes on NATO maritime surveillance.

Algerian tug ZABANA AHMED II (IMO 9593385) escorted the vessel LADY D into Mers El Kebir around 12:35 UTC.
This follows a previous similar operation involving the Russian Ro-Ro ADLER (IMO 9179854), now stationed in the port of Oran. @claudialanz.bsky.social
