I misread this at first.

Thanksgiving for Two…despite the efforts of a 3rd.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving with just ourselves. No big turkey dinner. Instead French tortierre, scalloped potatoes, beet salad and stuffing (b/c even without turkey one must have stuffing). Topped off with a lovely Côtes du Rhône.

In the 70s I had to sing O Canada and God Save the Queen every day.

Then it was just O Canada.

Then it was no longer sung at all in school.

Almost every day on social media. Quite often in comments on sermons in which I am simply quoting Jesus. Used to happen a lot with friends and relatives who are conservative politically.
