Because of Speaker Johnson & Republicans, a 60-year-old couple would see their health care costs jump by $1,530 per month, if they let the ACA tax credits expire.

I’m fighting to open the government, lower your costs, & prevent your health care expenses from skyrocketing even further.
I’m going live with California Attorney General Rob Bonta on October 22 at 5:30 PM PT to talk about how we’re fighting for you — from lowering costs to keeping our communities safe.

My office is here for you!

My office is open full time for you during this shutdown. We were out in City of Banning Saturday working to help get my constituents resources to meet their basic needs.
I met with Labor Union & Resource Leaders to understand the struggles federal workers are facing during the government shutdown & to connect them with resources.

I’m focused on helping federal workers, opening the government, protecting health care, & preventing health care costs from skyrocketing.

I know the LIHEAP program can be the difference between keeping the lights on or not.

That is why I introduced the House Energy Assistance in Times of Shutdown Act, or HEATS Act. I am working to ensure working people don’t lose access to energy assistance during a government shutdown.
Grateful that the hostages are home with their loved ones.

It is time to increase the humanitarian aid flowing to civilians in Gaza.

And we must push for a just, lasting peace.
Federal workers have or are at risk missing of a paycheck. We must open the government, protect healthcare & lower costs, and get federal workers paid immediately.

I organized a virtual Government Shutdown Resource Fair to connect federal workers with community resources to meet their basic needs.
The Republican shutdown is driving up health care costs, with families getting notices of major premium hikes. I'm fighting to reopen the government and extend Affordable Care Act tax credits to prevent your health care costs from skyrocketing.

I want to hear your story at Ruiz.House.Gov/Shutdown

As the government shutdown continues, I understand the challenges many federal workers are facing, missing paychecks and struggling to meet essential needs like housing, groceries, gas, utilities, and mental health support.
I brought together Federal Labor Union Leaders & Community Resource Leaders to coordinate support for federal workers during the shutdown.

House Republicans refuse to go back to work, open the government, & protect health care, I am focused on safeguarding federal workers’ overall well-being.
Airports are facing delays as TSA & air traffic controllers go without pay. This isn’t about flight schedules, it’s about people’s livelihoods.

Republicans need to stop the games, & instead come to the table to open the government, protect health care, & prevent health care costs from skyrocketing.
I value the health of working families. The bottom line is: Republicans would rather see tax breaks for billionaires than provide health care to those who need it most.

I’m working to get Congress back to work and prevent massive hikes in health care costs.
As Hurricane Priscilla approaches, here’s how you can stay safe:

🏠 Secure your home
🚫 Avoid flood-prone areas

Your safety is my top priority. Follow local guidance & stay alert!
The math doesn’t add up. Republicans cut $600 billion for hospitals and clinics, then called $50 billion for rural hospitals a “win.”

I’m fighting to protect the funding our rural hospitals need to keep care within reach.
Undocumented immigrants aren’t eligible to participate in ACA, receive tax credits, or co-share programs. It’s already the law & that’s not the issue right now.

We need to reopen the government, protect health care, & prevent the hikes in costs for everyone if we do not extend the ACA Tax Credits.
The war must end, hostages must be released, and unobstructed aid needs to be delivered by neutral and independent humanitarian organizations to save innocent lives.
The horrific terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7 were an assault on our shared humanity. For two years, this conflict has caused immense suffering for civilians in Gaza and Israel.
Congress needs to get back to work: to reopen the government, protect health care, and stop health care costs from skyrocketing.

Instead, Republicans and Speaker Johnson just cancelled work next week. Shutdowns are serious with working people paying the price.
During the shutdown, many federal workers are going without pay & struggling with the cost of groceries. I met with My City Youth in #Hemet to discuss their food distribution program as a resource.

I will continue to work to reopen the government, protect health care, & prevent costs from rising.
I’m pleased to report the news about Geraldine’s safe return to the U.S. from Israel as soon as tomorrow.
Some families in our communities could see their health premiums rise by $1,500 a month, $18,000 a year, if Republicans refuse to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits.

I’m working to reopen the government, protect your health care, and prevent costs from skyrocketing.
This government shutdown isn’t just about a line item in a budget. It’s about you, your families, and the everyday struggles our communities face.

I know that, which is why I’m working to open the government, protect your health care, and prevent rising health care costs.
