Same here, I was a bit young for his reviews in the paper and only vaguely remembered Siskel & Ebert, then was too broke to afford cable. But then discovered his delightful blog and became a fan (and went and re-read a bunch of his reviews.)

I think she comes from an earlier journalistic tradition when getting three angry letters meant you'd struck a chord as most people with a sensible objection would not choose to spend a postage stamp to explain why you were full of crap.

There is, it's a known thing! Certain genetics have a different delivery mechanism and make-up, they're supposed to have the same *effects* within a certain margin but they aren't necessarily made the same way. You can absolutely insist on being rx'd the generic (and which one, tho stock varies.)
