I find the "paid protestor" line of thinking as odd as the "everyone's a Fed" line of thinking. Is your imagination so stunted that you can't even conceive of someone taking action on their own accord? Is your worldview so limited in scope that every political action must be driven by self interest?

My take on One Battle After Another is that it is a mistake to view it as a film with political answers. The politics of the movie are secondary to the story it is telling, and they are not directly related to the politics of our moment other than "ICE is bad, immigration crackdowns are racist."

I think the craziest part of this tho is looking through lineup and seeing that it's mostly men who don't do that kind of stuff. Tons of a-listers, Bill Burr and Mo Amer probably the two that are most disappointing.
