Inspired by #DontStarve, which I made a mod for ages ago. :3
This version had a tendency of looking like they would skin you alive and wear your face as a mask.

Still a bit creepy-cute though. Imo.
Been testing new eyes for the mice.

It was really just a crazy midnight thing, but I realized I kinda liked it.

A previous co-worker's idea to add the highlight. 100% better.

Mostly been working on data structures, but I also set up some new graphics, outfit combos, etc.

The game went from 1 head graphic to 11 (after endless tweaking and tuning).

I'm pretty happy with the results tho! :D

Mostly worked on the rendering system, which can be seen on the apparel which can now have various rules for colors, etc. :)

In the future it will be possible to get more fancy with it. :)

I also had to redo every single setup for every hair, skin, etc. Oof.

Played a little bit with rimworld and wrote a glowy energy shader last evening.

I originally aimed to just make basic glow, but I feature creeped it a bit…

Might resuse it in my own hobby game too.

Got the mod feature deployed properly. :)

Better shaders, 3-colour stuff, ability to change the colour of stuff like specific genes (where supported), etc.

Was an interesting challenge to work on. ^_^

Here is how it looked before with Ludeon's own shader. In-between regions blended in the base (white) color, and were a bit crunchy or ".jpeg"-feeling.
Managed to figure out how to build rimworld shaders, and created a new shader with much better blending and support for full RGBA instead of just Red+Green.

The Ideology icon is unrelated to this change. Looks a bit meh up-close but I thought it was eat :)

Oh hey, another developer making a persistent world simulation-kind of game. That's awesome! We need more games like this.

It has long disappointed me that no big open-world games actually dare commit to making a game world that isn't just a pile of pre-scripted and curated events

I usually craft tribalwear and make a 1 tile stockpile for it in the prison(s).

I think I'm 90% of the way to the AI searching the map for resources, extracting them, and going back with them.

Was busy being sick. Did mess a bit of tinkering with the shaders, renderings, scaling, json editing,...

I think the colors look a bit cleaner now, and the outline less gritty. Hope it is noticable.
