Honestly I think you can even have a sort of dumb-guy libertarian take on a lot of the social issues.

Like, "I don't really get all this trans stuff, but we're talking about kids here. Shouldn't we be protecting kids?"

And if they're not kids,

"It's not my business, leave them alone."

I've always thought it was weird that you have to do that for groceries, which are a little cheaper than offbase, but not for gas, which can be substantially cheaper than the civilian equivalent.

I’ve been listening to Bouie and Ganz’s politics episodes on @unclearpod.bsky.social (I might have to unsubscribe because of the shutdown, tho) and man so far their discussion on military readiness is right fucking on. Especially for two people who haven’t themselves served.
