Well, Starmer is set on keeping the "special relationship", but I doubt he will ever be as close to Trump as Thatcher was to Reagan. He seems to be more aligned with EU leaders tbh. We just have to pray that Farage doesn't get in at the next election because that really would be as bad as Trump.

Progressive: probably not. Handling Trump with kid gloves: definitely. Following Trump's positions: Policywise, no. Are you thinking of Nigel Farage? Thankfully not our Prime Minister, but desperately wants to be. Trump's mate. Was recently in the US to appeal to Congress to impose trade sanctions
