HELP- hubby is getting calls from this # every day @ 5-6pm. He is stressing out that there is a detained person who needs help, but is cautious that this could be a scam. We live in a tiny town and no one we know has been kidnapped. Not sure what to do, is this a new scam?

Because I have never made a post bashing another rescue! That's not something anyone should do. Even if I didn't like them, even if I had my own opinions and speculations. I never would unless their was neglect involved. Not just 'rumors' but tangible USDA records, police reports, evidence from professional PI investigators. If you haven't met the founder of the organization and haven't seen anything wrong with your own eyes or evidence stated above. Then seriously, stop. Stop blindly following what other people say and think. If you hear a one sided story and you go with it.... you should maybe start thinking things through and asking questions instead of being a sheep.

It's worth noting where Gilbert came from too- Melissa helped foster service dogs in training for disabled veterans. Gilbert was their personal dog (adopted after he washed from the program) but she was continuing to assist with other SDIT.
