Portland is clearly under siege by Trumpist forces. ICE boxing in protestors and giving them no outlet except to give in to the pressure and respond with violence leaves Oregon little choice but to go in and break the siege.

Let’s start by turning Medicare into a cash-transfer system, like Social Security.

Doing so would implement the traditional Democratic idea of a “public option“ in Medicare.
