a Voidsent while trying to keep up pretenses everything is normal. It's cathartic for me in a way, but also I feel being able to pull from that experience makes him feel more "real" in some of the things he does 😅

...Also I use him as Gender Goals™ so there's that too I suppose LMAO

Fears; for example a few years back I had several grand mal seizures back to back and lost a good chunk of memories of that time which became my lowest point - I channel and explore the fear and helplessness I felt of something outside my control via Kel and his slow degradation into ↓

Tbh I also use him to explore ideas or themes I personally dont have just to see things from the other side (Im not religious but Kel is, I dont want kids but he would have 10+ if he could, etc) as well as some of my own ↓

I love using Kel to explore lighter themes like found family and work/life balance of solo parenthood but I THRIVE with deeper themes like losing your humanity, nature vs nurture, shifting perspectives and morality, body horror and existentialism, etc

Hes an excuse to explore the shadows ↓

time to go all out, writers. what themes do you explore in your WoL/OCs character?

for example; aurora tackles themes of femininity, motherhood, womanhood, (in some cases) religion. For me when i make decisions as small as gender it can completely alter how I write a character!!

The funniest outcome was he also won a raffle at a costume party and had to make the walk of shame in his shoeless sandwich outfit to collect his prize in front of everyone 😭 😂
I think he deserves something a little more lowkey this year ajhd

I love the idea that Teka'a ends up much taller/broader/levelheaded than Kel as he ages, continuing the almost swapped parent/child caretaker dynamic they develop. Tho, Kel does hold a lot of guilt that Teka'a spends his life dedicated to (unsuccessfully) finding a cure for his curse 👀

Bonus bag: he always has a small medical satchel at his hip filled with his medicines in various doses from daily to "emergency" strength, as well as both sleeping/energy draughts. There are also suspiciously foul smelling vials of a brackish red liquid hidden beneath the false bottom of the bag :>

His bag is always a mess of road trip snacks like jerky or dried fruit/nuts, first aid supplies, about 50 gil in random coins, wood shavings, a spare hairpin, odd receipts, handkerchief, and a small leather pouch filled with assorted crystals (for "reasons", he assures you)
