Dawning realisation that if anything happened to anyone in my family the last word that will have passed between us is “alligator”.

Ohhh perfect, I love that! Have a great time. And I have a few shots of the rikishi leaving to get on the bus from
Door 6 - I need to see if any of them aren’t unrecognisably blurry 😂
No! We had to pay for travel and hotel so more tickets was well out of our budget sadly. Would have loved to though. Are you??

If you want to watch more sumo NHK Japan show regular highlights of each day during a basho. You can now get NHK online and on Freeview in the UK. Website also has 'sumopedia' explaining various topics. Enjoy #sumo #sumowrestling #nhk #grandsumohighlights
They could have learned the bare minimum out of basic courtesy! Did you enjoy it otherwise? We loved it! So amazing to see it in person (though I appreciate it was far more like the provincial tours then a basho it was so well done).
Can I bring my cat if I press her toe bean to the “like” button?
It’s RAH sumo day and the excitement is OFF THE SCALE!

A collage of the bright yellow cover of my book ‘MANDALAY: Recipes & Tales from a Burmese Kitchen’, me in a burgundy ‘Original Beef of Chicagoland’ T-shirt (from the tv show The Bear), holding a plate full of Tokyo Disneyland cakes, the poster for the SE London BookFest, and the area around Corner Corner (between Canada Water and Surrey Quays) which is where our panel will be.
Thank you - I’ve loved doing the course. My OH bought it as a birthday present and it has really floated my boat!
I am truly happy now 🧵
The rikishi are taking-in the town and doing what we all do when in London.
Seeing the sights, admiring the parks, shopping on High Street, taking tea at Fortnum's, using the olde phonebox, eating Chinese, and having a terrific time.
Nouvelle Vague, Too Drunk To Fuck

(Also absolutely chaotically superb live)
Without saying Hurt, fav Cover Song?
It’s also comparatively cheap so if you cock it up you can start again without feeling horribly guilty.
I’ve spent a few years looking for a creative hobby that I can just pick up & put down and this might be the one. I’ve tried a few things eg wirework, watercolours, seaglass composition … Lino is very satisfying and time-adaptable, you can do a bit and put it away easily
Spent a couple of hours this afternoon digging out the space in a Lino print tile and it was enjoyably meditative. Reduction printing 3 layers tomorrow.

I will check it out thanks. As long as it’s within 20 mins on the tube I’m happy to travel too.
Saturday lunchtime ideas not too far from Kings Cross? Interesting food, GF options?
