That is the typical Republican response to political compromise whenever they hold the strings of power.

When out of power the calls for compromise scream from the rooftops.

Why compromise? Because life and governance isn't about the Republican Party, it's about folks like you and I.

Compromise is often defined as "settlement of differences by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions". I would suggest compromise is also defined by "consent reached by mutual gains".

Either way, the GOP could compromise, but it doesn't want to.

The Republican's god-king controls our federal administration.

The Republicans control our federal House of Representatives.

The Republicans control our federal Senate.

I personally think that the greatest part of any credit goes to the European nations that stated they were going to recognize Palestine as a nation unto itself.

The sad part is that they all, Trump included, waited for Israel to pretty much exhaust its own terrorism before doing anything.

Trump putting masked, heavily armed men in streets of Chicago is not something we would expect in the USA. These agents are not assisting police in high crime areas. They are brandishing weapons in mass in areas with large crowds to send the message: "Trump is watching."
