Interestingly, during the reveal of The Navel (Unreal) for patch 5.4 (in live letter LXI), Yoshi-P stated Titan did not feel like Titan if they allowed revives after falling.

Reasoning behind the 6.1 change was not elaborated on by the dev team.
#FFXIV raid history: Certain duties, such as The Navel and Thok ast Thok, used to prevent players from being revived if they fell off. Fallen bodies would not respawn on the stage mid-fight, making them inaccessible to their party for aid.

This feature was removed in 6.1.
Traumatized... or perhaps enlightened past the need for it? 🤔
Ahh... apologies for the phys range erasure in my post... (not intentional I swear..)
@kuplokopp.bsky.social, a mod on our FFXIV raid zine, provided the drawing! (We have artists applications open. If you're an artist who likes FFXIV raids, we want you to apply!!!)
#FFXIV Fun Raid Fact: Sprint used to lock melees jobs out of their weaponskills by draining TP (Tactical Points) completely.

Sprint stopped using TP at the start of Stormblood, and the TP system was removed entirely with the release of Shadowbringers.
October 31st is the last day to apply. We will start reaching out to applicants on Nov 1.
The 7.3 changes pushed many of the 15y tools to 20y. Perhaps the dev team is trying to standardize?
Left image taken from Dworim's A12s clear pov. If you like ffxiv raid history, make sure to check out our upcoming zine. (We are taking artist applications currently!)
Astrologian's Earthly Star's growth was much more abrupt. Starting at 8y at its release, patch 6.0 (Endwalker) increased its radius to the 20y it currently is today.

Every healer's kit has been affected by this, and changes like these affects both game flow & balance. Do YOU like these changes?
#FFXIV raid history: Healing abilities have grown over the years. Literally! WHM's Asylum started off at a 6y radius. It was slowly adjusted to 8y, 10y, and now sits at 15y.

Healers nowadays may ask you to "come in for heals", but "STACK for heals" was a lot more common before! And they meant it!
Technically savage, but higher level in game experience is by no means necessary to apply!

(We are accepting artist applications for said zine. If you're an FFXIV artist, send an application over!)
Did you know #FFXIV:
The stage in Binding Coil Turn 5 used to feature drastic elevation differences, but the stage was flattened in Patch 2.2 in order to address an issue involving attack ranges. However, the dip in the stage which many groups use to resolve Twintania's divebomb was preserved.
