i like when someone does a thing based on a group of characters and either leaves someone out or includes someone who isnt *really* part of the group its like getting to see the inside of the mind of a total stranger. its a level of intimacy you dont get when they 'color inside the lines'

i was fine relearning ghis' name because honestly the actual pronunciation feels a lot better than the intuitive one (where you acknowledge the first i) but im not changing how i say mister kitty. its just not happening

points against this:
-literally every romanization of his name uses g instead of j. the hepburn romanization would be "jifuka", and a j would clearly, unambiguously communicate the dʒ sound. why change it if not to communicate the intended pronunciation?
-i don't like it
-you can't make me use it

it has occurred to me that maybe. possibly. the canonical pronunciation of Giffca uses a soft g (ipa dʒ, like in giraffe) and not a hard g (ipa g, like in golden).
points in favor of this:
-ジ (ジフカ) is pronounced dʒ

romhack that i will not mention by name since i dont really have kind things to say about it. someone i watch started playing it and i was like "oh this looks neat i should stop watching so i can play it myself" and i think i would've been happier just watching them play. finished it tho.

the specific act of having the reader 'press a button' every so often to reveal more text is like. so basic that i think if it turns people away they were probably not going to finish it anyway so its like whatever yknow i guess. but i do like how it gives me much more control over the pacing

Golvellius is the kind of game that unlocks a secret cave if you kill 34 enemies on a specific screen, only for the fairy in that cave to scold you for grinding

That's what I like to call "The Good Stuff"

A screen with trees, rocks, and green caterpillar/slime looking things

The fairy in the cave says "Don't earn find in such a place!" (Find is the name of the game's currency)
