Back for a little while here, I tried this ‘starter pack’ for photonics & optics people: anyone else can follow up to 50 people at the click of a button: go.bsky.app/QrtPj7R. Put your name below and I will add you to the pack.
I am presenting a poster about this work @cleo-eqec in Munich on June 25! @optica.org @European Physical Society and part of @ongeth.bsky.social will be there too. 🧪💡⚛️😎👩‍🔧

We have multiple postdoc openings in *optical computing* 🔦+🤖, *computational microscopy* 🔬+🧠, and *nanophotonics*💡+⚛️. Don't hesitate to get in touch / spread the word!
The ETH quantum center organised an event for the 2025 International Day of Women and Girls in Science with 12-14 yo school girls. We talked about optical communication. 🧪💡⚛️

Our team is @spie.org #Photonics West @ongeth.bsky.social. Pierre Didier, Alessandra Sabatti and Jost Kellner will talk about lithium niobate on insulator for mid-infrared and classical/quantum phenomena. My talk is about solution processed nonlinear material for nanophotonics. See you next week 💡🧪⚛️
Happy New Year! Let's start with a fresh from the press article
rdcu.be/d5duM from Giovanni Finco et al. @ongeth.bsky.social @ethzurich.bsky.social. We generated maximally entangled #quantum states in the time-bin basisusing lithium niobate-on-insulator #photonics. 🧪💡⚛️

New piece of equipment arrived today, the science can go on 🧪💡⚛️
Highly recommended for team retreat with hikes suitable for all levels: St-Imier, Chasseral, ...

All about scattering in complex media this week in Paris at Institut Langevin. 💡🧪⚛️ I'll show nonlinear disordered experiments for computing from @ongeth.bsky.social (with @sylvaingigan.bsky.social) and random network with lithium niobate on insulator (with @riccard0.bsky.social and S. Rotter)
Today is winter lab cleaning @ongeth.bsky.social, our soft lithography lab is shining 💡🧪⚛️ and samples from my two former labs have been thrown away 👋
My team is on 🦋 as well. Latest research updates coming up soon #womeninstem #photonics 💡🧪⚛️
We are 24 members at the Optical Nanomaterial Group ONG @ethzurich.bsky.social, 12 nationalities 🌍 and 11 #womeninstm 👩‍🔬 PI included @rachelgrange.bsky.social. We work on #photonics💡, quantum and classical integrated optics with lots of nanofabrication🧪 See you here for reserach updates 👋

No Sunday night blues when your campus looked like this last Friday morning on the Hoenggerberg @ethzurich.bsky.social Photos from the lab coming up soon. 💡🧪🔬
Walk to work this morning!
The founders of the Photonic Online Meeting #POM since 2019 are reunited on 🦋 @mickeykats.bsky.social @drarmani.bsky.social @riccard0.bsky.social @sylvaingigan.bsky.social @oradr.bsky.social and last but not least @igordownunder.bsky.social 💡Hello everyone! 📍https://photonicsonlinemeetup.org/

😃 then it was really well done! I could even touch every mirrors.
I block my calendar for at least 2-3 hours, set an appointment with my 'supervisor' and just do it!
Few weeks ago I wrote this to my team: 'I am looking for a semester project for myself. I am sometimes free on Tuesdays morning and Fridays to perform the lab work.' And guess what? I found a patient mentor, collected my first data of solution processed metasufaces and did my first Python plots. 💡🧪⚡️
Me in the lab taking my first data since years about spectral measurements of a metasurfaces.
