Knowing Moses Mike, he’s not actually watching anything that’s going on which is why he hasn’t seen them cross the line repeatedly

Q: We've seen images out of Chicago of federal agents shooting faith leaders with pepper balls and arresting journalists. Where's the limit for you on what's acceptable conduct by federal agents?

MIKE JOHNSON: I've not seen them cross the line yet.

When leaving to run and get some eggs:
✅ keys
✅ phone
✅ wallet
✅ semi-automatic rifle

I don’t want to give Trump too much credit, but I think even he realizes that the kingdom Jesus offers… isn’t the kingdom he wants. And that’s why he keeps saying he’s not getting into heaven.
quirkypastor.bsky.social
You cannot claim Jesus as your savior while simultaneously rejecting the kind of kingdom/world Jesus is calling us to build.

“Accepting Jesus into your heart” means accepting the kind of world he was ushering in that cared for the poor, the marginalized, the immigrant, the widow, the orphan.
quirkypastor.bsky.social
Yes compassion is key and so many lack that
quirkypastor.bsky.social
Exactly. I hate to give Trump credit for ANYTHING, but I think all this “I’m not getting into heaven stuff” is he actually maybe recognizes that the world Jesus is ushering in isn’t the world he wants. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You have to accept a world of compassion and love—not one that spews hateful rhetoric and lies and dehumanizes marginalized people.

*bonds not bongs though the latter would be really interesting… 🤣
quirkypastor.bsky.social
Depends on how they’re raised. They form strong bongs with other animals when they are raised with them. But they are fiercely independent/ territorial later on if you try to introduce another animal later on.

And to be clear: no one regardless of citizenship or immigration status deserves this treatment. Full stop.

This is the future under Trump. US citizens being rounded up and shoved in moving trucks like they’re in cattle cars. All because they aren’t white.
quirkypastor.bsky.social
Moving vans are the new cattle cars. Doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or not if your skin isn’t white.

Wait until you find out they didn’t even speak English…
quirkypastor.bsky.social
I mean they been pretty much doing it for thousands of years so yeah

Me realizing 70k words into my next novel that i made an error (dealing with historical fiction) regarding someone’s age in a story and having to go back and change scenes in literally EVERY CHAPTER as a result… 😭😭😭

“Eventually we came to such terms…” Men 400 years ago trying to pretend that beating a woman was a “negotiation” for sex.

"While I was in the boat, I captured a very beautiful Carib woman, whom the said Lord Admiral gave to me. When I had taken her to my cabin she was naked—as was their custom. I was filled with a desire to take my pleasure with her and attempted to satisfy my desire. She was unwilling, and so treated me with her nails that I wished I had never begun. But—to cut a long story short—I then took a piece of rope and whipped her soundly, and she let forth such incredible screams that you would not have believed your ears. Eventually we came to such terms, I assure you, that you would have thought that she had been brought up in a school for whores."

Women don’t yearn for power. They yearn for justice, dignity, freedom, love, to be heard, and for their stories to matter. Because a heart seen and a voice valued is true power.
