Absolutely required for a solid muffuletta, which I’m pretty sure we don’t have. But I’d love someone to prove me wrong.

Oh how I look forward to future Bluesky sandwich debates. I mean, I’ve seen the pizza ones, and they’re fine and all. But who has the best bread, tapenade, etc. Here for that.

(Having said that, I will continue to patron this place because (1) white sauce and (2) nachos. 10 out of 10 best white bbq sauce in town, and much to my surprise, combining that with my favorite dish of “nachos” is a real win IMO.)

I look at the Gulch, and when I think about what it was 20-25 years ago, I don’t get the “we’re not getting more value from government” angle, either. Because, man alive, from the TIFs in place to the level of services, I see real value for the Gulch of today over and above the Gulch of yesteryear.

You can try the hub? See what happens. If you think it is close to your head?

SIR, I’m sure hundreds of people in that park would be posting it.

But also htf did that table cloth stay on the table but also the wind was so strong that it went flying out of their hands?

QUESTIONS ABOUND.

Look, maybe this is okay. Idk. But there are definitely prohibitions on barbed & electric wire in the zoning code for a reason. Barbed (and electric) fencing is inherently dangerous to people AND critters.

(@erinfor12.bsky.social is really doing the hard work on fence issues right now. Blessedly.)

Oh yeah - that wild.

911 What’s your emergency?

Let me just show you.

(Also like being an operator is heavy. Please don’t suggest we also show them. I think they have enough without your supporting live feed.)

(This is a Nashville 911 reference, which of course I’m watching.)

I was today days old when I learned our amazing 911 operators & MNFD have stunningly beautiful loft-like offices & halls that take up half a block in the highest rent district in town.

But in all seriousness, I do wish people could see the real spaces. Our first responders do a lot for a little.

When we say “No Kings” this should include the nasty billionaires who use their money to control all media and the government.

This is an incredible luxury. I get that. It’s also my only true 1 on 1 time with my kids - a learning journey for me as a mom. People will miss funerals & weddings & birthdays with loved ones. Families will be stranded far from home.

We all have our reasons for needing those ✈️ when the time comes.

Rubber hitting the road for folks here.

Each of my kids gets a mama-kid Disney trip for fall break when they turn 6. This is my last such trip, & that baby has spent her whole life listening to her siblings talk up this trip.

Her only Disney trip. My last Disney trip. Really need that ✈️ next week.

CNN: “Nashville’s air traffic approach control will go dark for five hours tonight due to short staffing—the second FAA facility in as many days to shut down over shortages.”

There are state and local disclosures that should capture all of that. I take those disclosures very seriously, and from conversations with my colleagues, so do they.

I think we all intuitively know that long commutes mean less sleep and poorer health outcomes. Researchers in Japan measured it, and a commute longer than 52 minutes is as bad as insomnia.

Building our city for long commutes is literally hazardous to our health.

Polls are open!

Nashville, we have an important special election in one of the three congressional districts that now cover the city.

If you live in TN-7, you have an important federal accountability moment.

BHN uses a listserv for the steering committee, & it works great. Same for our neighborhood gardening group.

There was a learning curve, for sure, especially with the garden crew, but it is working great these days.

Seems like this could be a nice project for N2N - help get everyone communicating.

Ha! Pretty sure that’s been public for years & no confession necessary.

I still think there’s a place in the vin diagram of individual property rights + lifting all boats to come to a consensus on this.

But that’s just one piece of the puzzle”save democracy puzzle” we’re having to put together as we go. /end
