Why do amazon delivery drivers leave parcels outside instead of knocking, have 2 make their quota of deliveries to be paid full wage, security guards look away, they're on a minimum wage why bother doing the job properly. A decent living wage would give them pride & impetus to do their job properly.

University has become unaffordable.

Healthcare has become unaffordable/non existent.
Heating has become unaffordable.
All the jobs are Minimum Wage.

Been reading 40 jobs most at risk from AI, & 40 with no risk, or low risk it can't. If you attend, or intend going to University to study languages (interpreters) history etc, AI can replace you. If you're a Labourer or a semi skilled worker you'll be safe. Technological progress comes with a price.

I've avoided celebs turning authors books,my wife & kids told me Richard Osmans weren't bad, as the film of Thurs Murder Club was on Netflix I read the 1st, film was very disappointing. Onto book 4 now, intrigue, whimsy, credulity stretched to its limits & beyond but one gets to love the characters.

It’s entirely possible to protest about Israel’s actions without supporting a proscribed group.

It’s staggeringly easy in fact.

People deliberately getting themselves arrested aren’t doing it for Palestinians.

@irishdreamer.bsky.social BTW before labeling me anything I'd never vote Reform, I know what they represent, they're BNP with a different name. But I'll vote green or Corbyns new party. I've voted Labour all my life until Blair backed Bush. I'll never vote Lab again after their support of Israel.

@irishdreamer.bsky.social When I say authoritarian I'm talking about Palistine action being labeled terrorists, given the police more power to stop protesters. The ppl who voted lab at the last election normally didn't, they'd had enough of tories, now after just a yr they feel let down.

@irishdreamer.bsky.social I don't believe racists would ever vote Labour. But a lot of ppl, including myself are disillusioned with such an authoritarian government, a lab government afraid to have radical policies, a lab gov drifting further right with a leader lacking boldness.

I, until recently, worked in a social club with over 3,000 members of all ages & profession's, I talked to lot's of them that voted Lab in the last election & I can assure you that that is exactly what they intend to do.

With every utterance of criticism from MPs in Lab's cabinet about Palestinian protests they drive another nail into their electoral coffin. ppl loyal to Lab for decades are lost forever, those who voted for them to oust the Tories are now switching to Reform, or if educated, the greens. What a mess.

This #Labourgov is the most authoritarian gov I've ever known, they want to "FORCE" decent caring ppl to stop protesting a genocide they're complicit in so they can carry on ignoring it in peace. That's some paradox. Labeling their own citizens as terrorists so they can quietly support a genocide.
