CD40 agonist mitazalimab with mFOLFIRINOX in untreated metastatic pancreatic cancer: Biomarkers associated with outcomes from OPTIMIZE-1

Van Laethem et al. report that the combination of mFOLFIRINOX and mitazalimab has manageable safety and encouraging activity. Mitazalimab-induced immune activation and a fibrosis gene signature correlate with better outcomes. These results may inform future patient stratification strategies supporting a planned randomized confirmatory trial in mPDAC.

In NYC, you see celebs quietly going about their lives. I remember Diane Keaton in particular, because she was just ahead of me on line to enter a cinema on 3rd Ave. Alone, gracious, kind, radiant. She did not go to the head of the line to be seated early — as many celebs do. This one smarts. RIP.

True about the dog stories — usually involving mishaps. My dog Ernie got underfoot & tripped me twice whilst carrying fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza, & blueberry pie. They ended up on the kitchen floor & he dug right in, the little scamp. Twice in a long life (20 yrs) isn’t bad, & the stories survive!

Been there….thankfully only with gloves & shoes where ID/credit cards didn’t need replacement! But the gloves were a brand new splurge for me at the time — leather as soft as butter — the best I’d ever owned.
