I suspect the answer is that plane ticket costs are low compared to the effort required to move a whole promotional event to a different day/week/month. Which I guess is simply impossible in many cases as venues have their own existences to deal with.

because the only reason I got there was because I was really quite unwell with Crohns. I've since been much healthier and put on nearly 10 kg. Sure I could stand to get back to doing more exercise and shed a bit of that weight, but I definitely shouldn't be as low as I was

Yup, BMI is crazy. To have a single scale applied to the entire population without any nuance over individuals almost *must* end up crazy by definition.

I was not that long ago in the "normal" range of BMI (just at the upper end), but I know that wasn't healthy for me…

Hmmm, I moved from the UK to Poland, so am a migrant, and I never did A-level English. (In fact I was in the Scottish system, but that's a whole other thing.) So, am I getting turned away at the border next time I try to come to the UK?

Truss is vile and crazy, obviously, but she's so ineffectual at pretty much everything, has anything she's done since leaving office had any effect (good or bad) at all?
Cameron is less comically crazy, but I suspect he's successfully inserted himself in consequential places and done more harm
