...if it can convert more readers. I'd guess that thanks to WT, more people read webcomics than ever. I just can't tell if they're being trained to be open to what people actually wanna make. This experiment seems like a good way to feel out the editing beast!

I'm quite bearish on any monopolistic figure being long-term hospitable to capital-A Art! But indie gaming has seemed to flourish (until the whole paypro thing) and animation is currently mapping a sustainable (????) path to indie funding, so maybe comics will find its way

Anyway I HOPE people aren't calling you some kind of sellout! Frankly whatever scrutiny WT gets should be being given even harder to bigger publishers, esp. where the creator has to do their own marketing

Mm, it's that WT/WT-likes also lured in hobbyists, then put them at the app's mercy, then gave audiences the impression that the app is a one-stop shop. I Love that they're willing to pay for a few, but I resent that they built that on the back of a scrappy, weird community and domesticated it.

Alan graciously offered to face a lion in his own den. Leo's not too familiar facing humans (or whatever Al is), but they're both having lots of fun in their own way.
