I hosted Ukrainian refugees in my own home, here in the UK, who ran from the murderous Russian forces. They were Russian speaking and, because of the Russian invasion, they were learning Ukrainian.

Typical nationalist German, crying about their poor fatherland, as they screw Europe with the artificially weaken Euro € at every opportunity. Send Taurus, do something to actually help. I'm sure Ukraine thanked DE for the helmets in the first days of the invasion. Cry more 😂

Oh, (at the time) that Germany (the country that has riddled itself with Russians) was supplying Ukraine's army with helmets, and nothing else, when Poland was sending actual weapons? At that time? Even the German Foreign Minister said he respected the Polish judge's decision. Send Taurus!

I know, let's make it really simple. Russia withdraw behind its INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED BORDERS with Ukraine, otherwise it might be too complicated. No need to draw a line on a map, let's use the one that exists already.

The Russian Military Police (Военная полиция) wear these red berets, I believe. The cam car is stationed in the junction, part of a checkpoint it seems. They are filming the vehicle checking rather that the smoke, per se. I wonder why.

JFC! YES you are right, Tomahawks will never be delivered.

Ukraine still desperately needs US weapons and nothing can replace Pariot missiles today, so stroking Trump's ficking ego is NOT futile.

JFC on a bike, it's almost like a complex problem has more than one dimension.

I mean, yes, of course, to everything you said, except the very first bit. Trump is not compromised, he is just a fucking idiot who the Russians are great at manipulating. It isn't futile to keep Patriot missiles (etc) flowing from the USA as long as possible. Everything else you said is 💯

He knows that. This is just the only way to get Trump to change direction. Expect more of this from every decent world leader. If Stubb said "Trump is a moron and should give Ukraine everything they need" that would be the end of US weapoms supply for the next 3.5 years.

We're going to get another round of BS Trump flattery from European leaders, because any path to getting US weapons to Ukraine will always be better than not getting those weapons.

I agree, plus Russia is burning through both their wealth fund and old Soviet equipment. They cannot sustain either of these.

Not at all. It's exactly the modern equivalent of such exchanged on the "wireless" when that was invented. Off the top of my head there were such exchanges between Hitler and Chuchill, for example, like

Hitler, "We'll wring their necks like chickens."

Churchill, "Some chicken. Some neck."

Interesting dip into a rightwing echo chamber. Image shows conservatives celebrating the US deficit being $1.78t in 2025. In 2024 the deficit was $1.82t, the deficit has fallen by $41b, the debt has gone up by $1.78t. Confusing deficit with debt.

Because Zelenskyy is not afraid of personal risk if it is, or might be, to Ukraine's advantage. "If Putin is serious, let him meet me". It's a way to stop Trump being further manipulated by Putin.

This "hit" was definitely a miss. It's not related to the hits in Crimea, as the location given is well east of Krasnodar, a very long way from Crimea. Many missiles and drones do not make their target.

You know what I'm hoping for. That, out of necessity, Ukraine creates a version of Neptune that is superior to Tomahawks in every way and that the USA is left with a stockpile of obsolete missiles, while Ukraine sells Neptunes to European armies.

Two thirds. One third voted Harris, one third voted Trump and one third didn't vote.

And there are a hell of a lot of "I didn't vote for him" Republicans out there who didn't vote for Harris either, but did give Trump all this power by voting Republicans into every other position possible.
