Ever since I announced my PhD in aerospace engineering, my Linkedin feed has been pushing videos about how to communicate like a normal person.
"Free pizza!"

Two words that work wonders in college.
Turns a club meeting about underwater hockey into a pep rally.

"Oh, silly college kids," we say, "That's how they get ya!"

I announced my PhD Candidacy on LinkedIn.

Privacy is power!
Went to an AI panel for nonprofits. None of them talked about risk and responsible ai. I brought it up and more nonprofit leaders came to me after than the panel.

Nonprofits worry about risk far because of the vulnerable people they serve.
"We can't afford AI regulation when countries like China aren't regulating"

First of all - China IS regulating.
- The National Security Law of People's Republic of China regulates
- China has AI Policies that have evolved since 2016
- China has a National Privacy Policy as well (the US doesn't)
I'm watching Unhinged rn. This premise is hilarious

There is that whole privacy thing about stealing someone's phone and I'm so in for the ride.
I think the tools are equally at fault as many of them claim to be private or secure, but aren't. So even if they are double checking the work and it's productive, there's a privacy mess to begin with despite many AI companies assuring otherwise.
This is why you need to be relentless.

- Meta's facial ID coming back
- Microsoft's recall coming back

They are testing the reactions and if we let it go quietly they will resume building.
