Accessibility in the AB Legislature Building

Visitors with wheelchairs, strollers and those with mobility restrictions can access the building using the west entrance.
Accessible washrooms are located in the west hallway of the second floor.

Service animals are permitted in the building with service animal ID cards. All other animals are not permitted.

Getting to the AB Legislature Building

Government Centre Transit stop is on 107 St, on the east side of the Visitor Centre/QEII Building.
Government Centre LRT Station is connected to the Leg. via underground pedway; the pedway will be open from 7:30AM to 5PM.
Corona LRT Station is a 900m aboveground walk from the legislature.

Free 2 hour parking along 107 St, between 98 and 99 Ave.
Limited paid parking along 99 Ave.

Bicycle routes can be found on the map graphic below (provided as a link in this post)
Bike racks are available around the Visitor Centre/QEII Building and on the east side of the Leg.

October 28: Sit in for Equity. Fight for 5 key communities - Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, Disabled, Elderly and Immigrant. We will be meeting at the AB legislature building at 11AM, protesting outside at 12PM, and doing the sit-in at 1:30.

Nobody has ever claimed AHS was perfect...

But Smith's approach to healthcare has been to take a slightly injured patient (AHS) & dismember it.

We asked ER physician Dr. Paul Parks (@PfParks) if that's accurate.

Turns out it is, and some folks are getting very well paid!

By way of context…

In May, 22,300 teacher voted against the UCP’s offer at 61.99%

Today, 38,113 voted no at 89.5%.

In May, 13,517 voted to accept.

Today?

Only 4,479.

The UCP managed to find a way to actually make things worse.
