It is alarming that the Trump Admin & rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child from Everett, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away & reportedly subject him to harrowing conditions.

They must stop violating our constitutional rights.

My full statement:
A graphic that reads:

“It is absolutely alarming that the Trump Administration and its rogue ICE agents would abduct a 13-year-old child, transport him to a facility over 500 miles away without his family, lawyer or a court knowing, and reportedly subject him to harrowing, inhumane conditions, including inadequate nutrition and sleeping on a concrete floor with an aluminum blanket while still healing from a broken foot.

“He is a 7th-grader who should have been met with compassion and care, not criminalized and sent to an adult prison.

“The Trump Administration must stop violating the constitutional rights of our constituents. I join the chorus of community voices demanding basic adherence to due process, preservation of this child’s constitutional rights, and his immediate return to his family.”

I pray that it marks an important step toward a just and lasting peace in the region, an end to the horrific genocide perpetrated by the Israeli government, the rebuilding of Gaza, and a shared future of self-determination and humanity for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

Each of these grief-filled moments together has been a reminder of our shared humanity and reinforced what I've long known to be true: that our freedoms and our destinies—Israeli, Palestinian and American—are deeply tied.

Today marks a critical step. And it's a reminder of the work that remains.

Over the past two years, I have held in my arms the families of hostages and slain Palestinians who spoke of deep love and grief. The pain and trauma they've carried throughout this is unimaginable and something that no person should ever experience.

As a parent and woman of faith, I am deeply relieved that surviving Israeli hostages and detained Palestinians are finally being reunited with their families. And my heart remains shattered for those whose loved ones didn't make it home today.

We'll keep celebrating their contributions, centering Native voices in our policymaking, & building a more just, equitable future.

Happy Indigenous People’s Day!

We are all on stolen land.

And while Republicans try to whitewash American history, we acknowledge our country’s role in inflicting trauma on our Indigenous neighbors.

Nervous, exhausted, & uncertainty.

These are just some of the emotions #MA7 constituents, workers, labor leaders, & advocates are feeling under this Republican shutdown.

It's time to end Trump's shutdown, reopen the government, & address the hurt and harm Republicans created.

Republicans are using every tool to attack abortion access.

They want to strip funding for hospitals and training programs that teach future doctors how to provide abortion care.

It is harmful, it is dangerous, and it could prevent doctors from delivering critical healthcare.
pressley.house.gov
The healthcare crisis Trump and Republicans have created will be devastating for families in the #MA7.

Here's how:
A graphic that reads:

Trump & Republicans' healthcare crisis will devastate the MA-07. Here's how:

35,512 people will lose health coverage because of Republican cuts to Medicaid in the Big Ugly Law and their plot to gut the Affordable Care Act.

29,000 people will see their health care costs rise if Republicans let critical tax credits expire.

Paul Dama's abduction left behind a painful void in the #MA7.

His release is a powerful reminder of what is possible when our community comes together, rallies behind a beloved neighbor, & stands firm in the face of Trump & ICE’s shameful reign of terror.

Welcome home, Paul.

For too long, Black women have been the last hired & the first fired.

The systemic pushout of Black women from the paid workforce is a red flag for our economy and devastating for Black women, Black families, and Black futures.

It's absolutely illegal for Trump to fire dedicated federal workers.

We're in the midst of a shutdown HE created that’s hurting military families, federal workers, & everyone in America.

This isn’t over. We'll see him in court.

Cruel and cowardly.

Republicans are canceling votes yet again instead of working with Democrats to re-open the government.

They'd rather stay on vacation than stand with families, release the Epstein Files, and address the healthcare crisis they created.

Federal contractors—including custodial & food service workers—deserve pay for their hard work.

But unlike federal employees, contractors have no assurance they'll receive backpay when Republicans reopen the government.

Our bill would ensure these workers are not left behind.

For the sake of humanity, I pray this holds.

It is so far past time to end this genocide, free the hostages, and surge food, water, and baby formula to starving families in Gaza.

Latinas earn only 51 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men.

This wage gap isn't just unfair, it's an injustice, and Latinas deserve equal pay for equal work.

As small businesses & entrepreneurs face uncertainty amid Republicans' govt shutdown, I joined BECMA Inc's #MassBlackExpo to discuss how we can protect Black wealth.

From employing Black women & lowering the cost of housing to safeguarding DEI, it's going to take intentional policy to get it done.

Joan Bennett Kennedy was a gifted artist & dedicated advocate whose compassion & vulnerability is an inspiration to us all.

Through her music, teaching, & support for the arts & addiction services, she uplifted so many.

My heart is with the Kennedy family & all who loved her.

As a former hotel worker & unpaid Congressional intern, I know what it is to live paycheck-to-paycheck.

This Republican-manufactured shutdown is harming everyone, including our federal contractors who aren't guaranteed backpay when the govt reopens.

Our bill would change that.

Yeah, no. The law is clear: federal workers must receive back pay.

AND I have a bill to ensure federal contractors get it as well.

My statement on the two-year anniversary of the horrific October 7th attack carried out by Hamas in Israel:
“The October 7th attack carried out by Hamas was horrific and devastating.

“Elders, babies, parents, and loved ones were senselessly murdered.

“251 souls were taken hostage, among them Americans, Israelis, grandparents, toddlers, and peace activists.

“The grief of these losses runs deep in the Massachusetts 7th and around the world. (1/4) “In the two years since the October 7 attack, I have sat beside the family members of hostages and those who lost loved ones that day.

“Their stories have stayed with me daily. Surviving family members have spoken of our shared humanity.

“The hostage families have sparked a movement calling for peace, joined by a multi-generational, multi-racial coalition of people of every faith and every corner of the globe. (2/4) “Today in Gaza, we are witnessing an unspeakable genocide, and we must continue to call for peace.

“Innocent civilians are being denied food, water and medical care.

“Our children will ask what we did in this moment, and the only acceptable answer remains: everything we could to save lives. (3/4) “I remain committed to the safety and survival of everyone impacted by these atrocities.

“I send my deepest condolences to every family who lost a loved one in the violent October 7th attack and to every family who has lost a loved one in the violence perpetrated in Gaza.

“Grief lasts as long as love does. Your loved ones mattered deeply, and they will not be forgotten.” (4/4)

And now, Trump is threatening to send National Guard troops to invade & militarize Chicago.

This has nothing to do with safety & everything to do with inflicting trauma & chaos. This is unacceptable & we demand accountability.
