The best bit of that David Warner clip is the silence in the room after his ‘joke’, punctuated by his own misguided laughter.

Fascinating and fun evening at the RNCM to hear from Ben and Ollie from the brilliant @ledbydonkeys.org as part of @mcrlitfest.bsky.social #MLF25

I’m assuming there must be some sort of critical mass of flags that they believe at which point all the brown people will just magically disappear?

Looking forward to this but I may have to dip in and out as the Matt Johnson talk is at the same time! (Have tickets for both). Should be another great weekend!

Patti Smith capped off a great music day in London yesterday, along with visits to the brilliant Bowie archive at the V&A Storehouse and the Kurt Cobain exhibition at the Royal College of Music.

Patti Smith was never going to disappoint tonight at the London Palladium. Legendary stuff. (With added Johnny Depp).

Was great to see #TheShawshankRedemption theatre adaptation work well last night at HOME in Manchester. Kept fairly true to the film with some interesting changes. Well worth a visit.

I now understand why they wanted to release the soundtrack 2 months early. Almost all the reviews of the film sound terrible …

Unusual to release a soundtrack album almost 2 months before the film is out, but this is brilliant. @nin.com #TRONAres

The main section of the BBC News site currently has an article about Justin Bieber walking into a pub, Dolly Parton telling us she’s not dead, and a live text commentary on a reality show. Well at least there’s no daily Taylor Swift story, so it’s a start …

Excellent article - I hadn’t seen that thanks. However, this is the game Jenrick has chosen to play and I doubt he will change sadly.

Wasn’t quite sure if a #Nosferatu / #Radiohead mashup would work but it definitely did, particularly the second half Kid A section. And always fun to return to the quirky Chorley Little Theatre.

Funny enough just started watching this now. Sad to see our Matt’s hope for a media career never quite happened as it did for Alan. But there’s still hope …

Haha that amused me too.

Brace yourselves for everyone making the same “kicked the bucket” joke any time now …

Looking forward to the day when I can look at the BBC News website and not see another Taylor bloody Swift article.

I love Test cricket but playing these games in massive empty soulless stadiums is helping nobody. #INDvWI

It was quite a watch, wasn’t it! I was in two minds about going to HoB on Monday but now you’ve made me think I should go. Ticket bought - see you there!

Ha yep - if you enjoyed the Greasy Strangler, you’ll love this!

It was as bizarre and funny as I wanted and expected! I saw 2 people walk out early which amused me.
