I honestly wonder if Joe Sixpack sees AI this way. We’re all so accustomed to music sampling & mash-ups & toplining - not to mention reaction videos on YouTube and stitching on TikTok - the lines between fair use and theft have been blurred for generations, and we’re all kind of at fault.

My brain has always worked faster than my tongue, so the “inability to think of the damn word” has been with me my whole life.

When it happens now, I honestly can’t tell if it anything to do with aging or not.

I grew up listening to 70s rock & 80s metal, then started playing jazz & funk in high school, as hip-hop was entering its heyday - and these guys took all of that and made it into a stew. They still make records and tour, and I’ve been a devoted fan.
