We are pleased to announce our discovery of #GW241011 and #GW241110

Both come from binary black holes where one black hole is much larger than the other. The larger black holes have large spin. Could these black holes have formed in a previous merger?

The NYT is so incredibly infuriating with their lack of straightforward headlines and biases that clearly tilt rightward.

"Today, the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom 95% of humanity combined. Graham understands this, and at a time when too many politicians take their cues from billionaires and corporate lobbyists, he has chosen to stand with the working class.” — @uaw.org President Shawn Fain
What we need are more working class candidates that care about the grotesque incoming inequality in this country, who care about a livable wage for everyone, who advocate for a tax code that makes the rich pay their fair share, & who advocate for national health care. Most people want these things!
too bad this doesn’t work for a Griffiths script r :-)
his current behavior is consistent with that. We have all made mistakes we regret in life; the important thing is to learn from those mistakes and become a more compassionate and caring person. At the moment, that is what I see in Graham Platner why I plan to vote for him.
as for the tattoo issue— I wonder how many military service members have a skull tattoo? Do you really believe Platner is a Nazi? I for one do not believe he was or is. To me the question is whether he believes in the principles he is campaigning on and whether (continued…)
Peter— that should be the standard Democratic platform, but unfortunately it’s not. Bernie, AOC and Jasmine Crockett would campaign on that but governor Janet Mills is not advocating for national healthcare. Platner is.
I see Graham Platner as someone who has overcome significant adversity and truly believes in the importance of national health care, and a tax code that makes the wealthy pay their fair share—I’ve been waiting decades for a candidate that runs on these issues.

Vaccines are one of humanity’s greatest scientific achievements.

The fact that members of one political party in the US wants to destroy vaccines signals how unserious they are and how they should not be allowed to govern.
FL is moving forward w/ plan to end all childhood vaccine mandates. Starting with hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Then next year GOP FL legislature is expected to revisit 1977 law re: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.

so mike johhnson lied when he said earlier today that there was no legal way to access the contingency funds
> "a September contingency plan, since deleted from the USDA’s website...said Congress intended 'that SNAP’s operations should continue' and that contingency funds 'are also available to fund participant benefits in the event that a lapse occurs [mid-fiscal year]'"
