Tough, tough loss, but proud of the M’s. But hope springs eternal.
I’ve long thought about flying in and out of Paine (especially when I have to see family in Phoenix). It looks like it’s a breeze.
We had it! (Along with some of the others in this commercial, with my favorite being the desert dress V.A.M.P.). During this time, the 174th tactical fighter wing (The Boys From Syracuse) flew A-10’s, and it was a real thrill to see them at Hancock and to have the Cobra version at home 😂
With that said, I don’t know who in this day and age would buy these on purpose.
But more practically, in the days before Yeti coolers they were a lot easier to keep cold while tailgating or fishing. We also used them for “red eyes”, which was a hangover cure of an OV split mixed with tomato juice and sometimes Worcestershire sauce or olives.
Years ago in Central New York (which at one time was also the biggest market for Canadian beer outside of Canada) we had Old Vienna “splits”, or OV Splits, which were 6.5 or 7 ounces. I don’t know why they made them, but I know why we bought them. You could pound the ever living shit out of them.
The monorail operators were running their horns every time they went over us and everyone cheered. It was something else.

Small world. Paid a speeding ticket there in 2006.
I had three different Civics from that gen (two sedans from new and later a very used coupe). My DX sedan regularly got 45+ mpg on the highway, and the other two weren’t far behind. Wonderful cars, and fun. I always wanted a hatch with the split tailgate, I thought that was the neatest thing.
Television, medium of the future
Whenever we go to Golden Gardens I always do a sweep of the marina lot either on my way in or my way out to see what I can see. It never disappoints.
Just thinking of her roasting in hell gives me a semi.
It had better be the refreshed Renault Encore, or else I am writing a childishly pithy letter to the editor!
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is an underrated gem.
We’ve got a bunch of those guys in our area, too. They’re a real treat to see and stand next to in real life.
Love the Hoh, also a big fan of the Quinault.
What year is it? I had to do it in my ‘90 and once I figured it out it was a piece of cake.
Jesus Christ, fucking Carthage. The whole of SW Missouri is godforsaken shithole. You couldn’t pay me $550k to live there.
