Dementia is hell to deal with. Theres a whole host of things I'll never get to ask him. It took away my chance of having a real dad. Of having any real closure.
But now none of us are suffering. He's not suffering, and my family has the chance to live our own lives now.

A year ago today my dad passed away. I cried a lot that day.

I had my own issues with how he raised me. And I'll never get to talk to him about it. It was rough, watching a person fade away over the course of 8 years, having to take care of him more and more as he deteriorated.

i also felt it was a neat detail. a lot of times in media, characters stay looking the same, but irl people change their styles, clothes, and hair more often than you'd think.
I felt it was a neat deviation from the norm, showing that Andie has changed in those few years.

i guess a fun fact about Andie, is that originally she was gonna have a buzz-cut, but i decided to change it so that her hair was curly.
but since I had already made art of her, I decided that she just grew her hair out in the 3 years louie was gone
