I felt like it would look better if I gave it surrounding buildings to better put it in the context of a Japanese suburb. I thought it would be a fun reference if one of these houses was Ataru's house from Urusei Yatsura.

Nobuhiko Obayashi’s House isn’t that scary, but is definitely intentionally fun.
I previously watched Do You Remember Love? like two years ago, but this is my first time watching the series
Although there is technically one more. Obayashi directed a behind the scenes documentary on Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams. That documentary is a bonus feature on the Criterion release, meaning that it’s kind of an Obayashi blu-ray.
