We can fulfill the promise of atproto together:
1. Own your identity and data.
2. Bring them to any app you want.
Lots of things already work but there's still work to do.
atproto give apps superpowers.
Coming soon: Leaflet posts on PiPup.
(we already have WhiteWind posts)

I made a decision early on to focus on the things that make this product unique and avoid reinventing the wheel without a strong justification. Social graph? You already have one. Profile? Same. Comments? We already have short texts that reference other objects.
The client has to compress the file so it fits in the maxSize defined by the schema, which for images is 1mb (1 million bytes) and for video 100mb. Otherwise it's rejected.

I'd have to verify this manually and see how many posts the RSS will actually give you but a quick check with Copilot says:
Feature comparison of popular centralized blogging platforms.
It comes down to 2 things:
The UX - probably need something like a link rel attribute to prove ownership of the blog without auth complexity.
The blog platform having a read API so we can reliably bring in the posts.
I believe #1 would be cooler but want to make sure I'm not misreading the user base. Building the right thing is just as important as building things right.
What do you find more valuable or pressing?
1. Interop between markdown (PiPup, WhiteWind) and blocks (Leaflet).
2. Migration tool to bring a centralized blog to atproto.

I'm only about halfway through filling it out but the community might find it helpful already. I'll wait until I'm done filling these out before adding new entries. DM me with corrections or new info!

Great! Just to clarify, once you’ve added an image you can click on it to copy the Markdown link pointing to the full sized image (not the thumbnail) so you can paste it anywhere you want in the article.
Out here pushing the limits of what Mermaid diagrams can do 😀
Architecture diagram for PiPup infrastructure. It shows a highly available solution based on Kubernetes.
Hi, you can find the "Upload Images" link here (click to expand):
Ah yes, that's one of the jurisdictions with similar legislation, regrettably. UK and OH, WY, SD, MS in the US. For most of them I'm hoping that in the near future I can implement something like KWS to manage the legal liability.
Hi, where are you located? Are you getting the location-based message about jurisdictions that require age-verification?
Added some cool features to PiPup like hiding spoilers!
Just renamed the Media link to Upload Images to avoid confusion 😊
Images are stored on your PDS and distributed through Bluesky's CDN for super fast access, just like the images in your Bluesky posts.
Small UI improvement: the "Media" section has been renamed to "Upload Images" as some users found it confusing and thought uploads were not supported. This also replaces the toolbar button for image links to avoid confusion.
Indeed! Maybe the description needs to be clearer. Thanks for the feedback!
Hi! You can upload images by clicking on the “Media” link. Maybe we should make this clearer. Thanks for the feedback!
Hi, we have our own lexicon but also ingest WhiteWind posts.
From our FAQ:
Your posts live on your PDS, which means you own your data no matter which app you used to create it.
After adding spoiler support, I'm seriously considering adding embeds like YouTube, Spotify, etc. What feature would make PiPup the best blogging platform you've ever used?
