A few days after the participants have been told it’ll be a new batch of cohorts. Kinda wish they had said this at the time. I wouldn’t have minded reapplying and seeing my eligibility, but the fact they’re saying anyone previously arnt going to kinda takes the wind out of my celebration sails.

Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

For me personally it was enough to pay for rent/car/medical bills and food. I wouldnt be able to save with it, but with actually working on commissioned work I could put some away for future! Not much, but it meant I could take care of myself:)
