He's ~2 years old & is very trusting & affectionate despite being in a strange place 💜

We don't know how he feels about other pets, so he'd need his own separate space for very slow intros if you have other fur friends at home.

He's still healing from several wounds he sustained during his time as a stray, but is so happy to have a warm, soft bed to burrow under & feel safe.

After all he's been through, Kenshi would be so grateful to recoup in a foster home & enjoy some much-deserved pampering ❤️‍

Perla is looking for a foster home where she'll be the only pet for now, but she lived with other pups and was very dog social in her last home!

🤩 She’s great with people, including kids (though littles may be bowled over by her enthusiasm!)

🏡 She's potty trained, not destructive, and has good house manners

🐶 Her fav hobbies include car rides, playing fetch, and watching “Dog TV,” where she’ll bark happily at dogs on the screen!

The Foxwynd Foundation DAF funded the Foxwynd Foundation’s generous donation to PAWS.

Their $20,000 grant has enabled us to save more at-risk animals, reduce euthanasia at the city’s animal control shelter & provide the medical treatment needed for homeless pets to live their best lives ❤️‍🩹

Soon, he will undergo sedation for a dental exam, during which our team expects to treat underlying dental disease

Thanks to access to this lifesaving care, Sherbert — & so many others like him — will be able to recover & move forward to loving adoptive homes 💜

PAWS is deeply grateful for the support of partners like the Foxwynd Foundation, whose generosity helps us rescue hundreds of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable pets from the city shelter — pets like Sherbert.

Originally found stray, Sherbert arrived at PAWS with an upper respiratory infection 🧵

She’s been away from pigs her age for a couple months, so it may take a little bit to get her used to other “adults” again, but she adapts to any situation with pluck & aplomb! 💪

Orzo loves to watch everything that’s going on before following her sister’s lead.

Cannellini (mom) is full of personality & loves to have someone in the room while eating (she will literally holler to get your attention, then calm down & start snacking as soon as she sees a familiar face) 💛

She loves chattering away with her sister & would do great anywhere she can get some good playtime in.

Orzo is a little more on the shy side but still bursting with energy — as she will happily demonstrate by popcorning around any time food is involved or just because she’s excited to be here 😀

She loves exploring new places, especially by way of zoomies after breakfast or when rooting around for dinner snacks 🥬🥕

We aim to place Orzo & Gnocchi together since guinea pigs greatly benefit from having a buddy to prevent loneliness (you'd also have the option of adopting Cannellini, though it's not required)!

They do all get along very well & love chattering at one another 💕

They're more than tasty snacks — they're valuable for training & behavioral enrichment, helping shy pets come out of their shells & encouraging pets w/ poor appetites eat much-needed calories.

Churu & Friskies are the most common brands used, but any wet food brand or "meat tube" treat is welcome!
