My conclusion: Oil & gas companies must clean up their mess. Strengthen and enforce the cleanup and closure rules. Don’t add to the problem. No more hardship and headaches imposed on landowners... Get Alberta's house in order. [11/n] #ABLeg #ABPoli

There's ZERO respect for the taxpayer by industry at ANY level. They want massive taxpayer money to do CCUS, but they're not paying taxes themselves. The goodwill has been harvested by companies… How can any Albertan expect any of the new issues to be handled any better? #ABLeg #ABPoli [9/n]

And more hypocrisy: Alberta forced the renewables guys to put up collateral, but these guys? No. O&G guys don't have to put up collateral, plus they shuffle them from stronger hands to weaker hands to some guy in a garage with no plan to clean this stuff up. [7/n] #ABLeg #ABPoli

Smith's mandate letter to Brian Jean says to implement the MAS, but not a single reference in the mandate letter about repairing the relationship w/ landowners... Not a peep. It tells us where we rank on this. They just want to double production and to hell with the landowner. [6/n] #ABLeg #ABPoli
