I'm not 100% sure, but I think peer pressure and societal pressure are harder on males here. Women seem to be allowed to be more "indecisive" and "scatterbrained". Even though those terms are used derisively, it's sort of more acceptable? Because, of course, women are lesser, failed men, etc...

I think it's also because of masking and internalizing the disorder, and also finding ways to work around it - such as becoming so anxious about ever being late that you the clock becomes your entire life. I think this a lot about guys who *freak out* if they're not an hour early for something.
