Sadly no one has successfully bred camel spiders in captivity. Some gravid wild ones lay, some hatch, but none survive and so every single one sold is wild caught sadly. I do not condone collecting species with no chance of being sustainably bred in captivity.

I love being a falconer and exotic pet keeper, it gives me moments like these. Australia's smallest owl and Australia's heaviest cockroach in one hand. The owl is Irwin, my Boobook owl, the roach is a juvenile Rhino roach, not just Australia's heaviest, but the world's. #birds #bugsky #falconry

A genuine Discosauriscus fossil, an incredible amphibian from the Permian, 298 million years ago. Very happy to add this to my collection after previously falling for a "heavily restored" one which was largely painted on. Sadly many fossil sellers peddle them as genuine. #fossils #palaeontology
