Animation layers to the rescue once again!

Animating the actual cast and wiggle together sounded difficult and annoying so I animated them separately and combine them using layers.

Worked with @srrafles.bsky.social's asset packs as a solid starting point and then gave it my own flair from there.
The slash meshes were all made in blender to match the anims & help offset distance as needed.

Setting up the cloth & wiggle physics is always one of the most satisfying parts! You get to watch your character really come to life!

We use a combo of Magica Cloth 2 and Tail Animator 2

Words were failing me so I roughed out the sketch with grease pencil to get approval for the final animation before animating the final.

I was surprised how much that little sketch ended up helping me w/ timing.
