On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor those native to Turtle Island and also center Two-Spirit people. Today, the term means different things to different people, but is an umbrella term for gender diverse people. Visit our resource library to learn more and find resources for Two-Spirit people.

History didn’t hand us freedom; we built it from scratch.
Not through theory, but through real lives. Gay liberation never came from ideas or theory. It came from people who refused to disappear.

A few photos from @petalumapride.org 2025!

Bigger than the last in every way: bigger team, more attendees (at least 1500 throughout the day), more participating orgs, more activities, more entertainment, more fun!

HUGE thanks to all of my friends who donated and helped make it possible 💖
A photo of Jennifer, Eric, Robin, Andy, and Chris posing together in front of a red barn-like building at the fairgrounds under the shade of trees and a clear blue sky. Each is holding a pride bumper sticker including:

one with an illustration of a chick hatching and holding a Petaluma Pride banner, adjacent to text that reads: trans people belong everywhere
another with an illustrated family of hens and chicks running with the Petaluma Pride banner, adjacent text that reads: we are everywhere
another which the iconic Petaluma Pride illustrated rooster with rainbow plumage, flanked by the words: you belong
and another that is just the Petaluma Pride rooster A photo of Jennifer, Brandon, Adda, Robin, and Andy with their arms around each other in front of a stage backdrop featuring a giant progress pride flag. Everyone is smiling and dressed in pride gear. A group selfie of Mo, Blake, Robin, and Andy under a pop-up canopy on a sunny afternoon. Everything about the photo is extremely colorful, as is appropriate for Pride! Robin's wearing rainbow beadwork dangly earrings featuring bats. An aerial photo of much of the pride festival, including the Gardenway Lawn which is lined with dozens of canopies, each housing a vendor or organization, and a number of food and beverage vendors and trucks lining the surrounding streets.
