I look forward to working with you again, Wheeljack.
[A rare instance of Perceptor showing a personal desire, or something close to it.]
Alright, so an add-on. That's doable. It'll add a bit of extra bulk, but I'm sure you can adjust.
Built in weapons are easy enough. The ability to hover, though...that may require a more invasive reformat. And it's still in the testing phase (stuck in that phase, since live subjects are hard to find...)

That second one is quite experimental, either way.
"What sort of modifications did you have in mind?" Asked Perceptor. "We can start from there. And Wheeljack won't be a problem. I've worked with him for millennia now. I am no stranger to his...quirks."
The first screen flashed to life before a minute passed. "Sentinel Magnus," Perceptor replied in his usual monotone. "What's the cause for this call?" Usually, the blue mech only called when something important was going down.
((Keeping you restrained for **OUR** safety sigh))
"Rodimus."
Perceptor's monotone cut through the buzz. "You're in no danger here. We're keeping you restrained for your own safety."
It was worth an attempt, to speak before activating the chip. But he was at the ready just in case.
In the last 5 stellar cycles, Wheeljack has had 200 explosion related incidents out of 600 projects. Which is less than half the time, but that's just counting explosions.
For all the good your engineering degree does you...
Should I provide the exact number, or just an estimate? Wheeljack is a brilliant inventor, but I know we've said before: he's no engineer.
Every once in a while, he glanced back at Rodimus on the slab, restraints present but allowing for a bit of movement. He would check vitals, the dilation of his optic's pupils, and any extra movement.
Percy and his assistants busied themselves with blueprints for more "fitting" frame adjustments for this half-flight frame, ones that would make him appear more as a civilian frame, though no less strong than before. It wouldn't be a full frame change, more like...a refit.
Any processor surgery while the subject was conscious would just put them all in danger.

Perceptor closed up Rodimus' cranium and put his helm back on. Though little changed on the outside, his subject now had a link, a tether to Perceptor himself.
"We may need to install a neural link, to override bodily control." He typed out his observations on his data pad.

Rodimus was strapped down onto the slab on Perceptor's laboratory, and the microscope-bot applied a stronger sedative to put him into stasis.
Perceptor watched as Rodimus convulsed then fell in a heap on the floor. He deposited his rifle in the slot on his back after making sure that the half-warframe was subdued.
"Bring him to my lab," he told the pair of guard bots that filed into the room. "We underestimated his aggression before."

//Small trigger warning if this thread gets more heavy. It's set when Rodimus was under the care of Perceptor many, many years ago//

[A shrilled scream shattered across the room and Rodimus was the source. Red optics burning with rage, his frame shivered in pain and his voice filled with fear.
Ah, Wheeljack. It is good to see you here, too.
At least they'll finally calm down.
Until next time they find something, at least...
Closing one optic, Perceptor aimed so the barrel was pointing at Rodimus, and pulled the trigger.
to stun, to pacify the rampaging half-warframe. It would put him in a state of tonic immobility, relaxing his systems and frame, putting him in a half-online state if it hit.
One scientist started an emergency call for guards.
from the magnetized spot on his back. He may not have been a combatant, but he had a steady hand, good aim, a good shot in the rare moments deemed necessary.
"There is no need," he told the other scientist. "I will subdue from here, then we can resume."
He made sure to set the rifle
-sometimes one needed to take a more *understanding* approach. A subject such as Rodimus would be such a waste if he died, after all. And then there would come the paperwork, if something damaged him too much. No, he needed a lighter approach.
Wordlessly, Perceptor took a long-barreled rifle
*-warframe CNA incompatible with the civilian build, or did we go too far?*
Perceptor understood the emotions of others, sometimes at least. He had deleted his own centers (albeit with a backup...just in case), aiming to become a bot of pure logic. Though, over millions of years, he had learned
Icy blue optics settled on the rampaging mech. Rodimus was bigger than Perceptor and some of the scientists, *definitely* stronger than them, but the microscope-bot looked unshaken.
*Interesting. He seems to have reached his limit,* Perceptor thought. *But is this berserk state due to his
