What a story! Maybe I’m cynical but it sounds to me like the founder wrote herself a nice narrative of being a ‘good person’ who helped a discriminated against community. then balked when she realised what that actually meant, and that the community would have thought on the process

The interview is well worth a listen, especially if you work for a small business and aren't sure how to unionise.

And just to hear about some truly bananas behaviour from the boss, tbh. Absolutely wild how deranged some small business owners can be
