Thank you for being with us. 💙
Progress in reducing #hunger has stalled & the world is drifting from #ZeroHunger by 2030—not from a lack of warning signs, but from a collective failure to act. Read #GHI2025 prepared by our @alliance2015.bsky.social partners @welthungerhilfe.bsky.social and Concern Worldwide buff.ly/FPFkaPM

👏Funded by the European Union, the Partnerships for Syunik–Enhanced Community-Based Social Services project is implemented by People in Need Armenia in cooperation with WINNET Goris Development Foundation, Armenian Caritas, and local partners under the Resilient Syunik–Team Europe Initiative.
I didn’t know where to start...
“Whoever I turned to either blamed or mocked me and my children,” says Emma

💪🏽Emma now feels empowered and informed about her rights, social services, and opportunities. Her children attend the Day Care Centre, and together they are rebuilding their lives with dignity—a true example of how joint efforts bring lasting change.
🤝Emma was struggling to care for her four children alone. Thanks to the New Generation of Goris & our team at PIN Armenia, her family received psychosocial support, art therapy, medical care and counselling. With additional funding mobilised, our partner organisation their home was fully renovated.

🌪️ 🌧️ 🪾 If we know that disaster is coming, why not act before it hits?

In 2024, with the support of World Vision Angola and Start Network, our team at PIN Angola did just that.

Through anticipatory action in drought-hit hashtag#Angola, we helped protect communities before the drought peaked.
🇪🇺 The Bio4HUMAN project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon EU programme. Read more: Waste in humanitarian aid
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we studied the use of the Black Soldier Fly. 🪰 Its larvae can transform organic waste into high-quality compost in just a few days. The use of biogas plants is another promising avenue of investigation. Biogas plants convert biowaste into gas and fertiliser
With our partners in the Bio4HUMAN project, we are testing the feasibility of 10 potential technologies and products as solutions to solid waste.🌍
♻️ We are searching for methods to process solid waste safely in humanitarian crises. Unfortunately, distributing humanitarian aid generates large amounts of waste, such as plastic packaging materials.
🤝 The festival would have been impossible without the support of the Czech Development Agency and the local municipality.
❤️The festival is becoming a tradition that will continue to unite locals and guests for years to come, while further celebrating the unique biodiversity of Tana and Tedzami and creating new opportunities for the local community.
Celebrating culture, nature, and local initiatives in Georgia!

🌿During our Tana Tedzmoba festival in the Tana and Tedzami Protected Landscape, visitors discovered products from local entrepreneurs—wine, honey, and cheese—browsed handmade crafts, visited a photo exhibition, and admired artworks.
Drawing upon the communication with colleagues, partners, NGOs and aid coordination bodies, and building on insights from field visits, and reflecting on the findings of reports on locally-led action, PIN Afghanistan will prioritise partnerships in the response wherever possible and relevant.
Additionally, Hanna and our colleagues met with Dayne Curry of ACBAR to elaborate on the recent publications on locally-led response in Afghanistan.
Hanna had several insightful discussions with various NGOs, including AWEC and SADA, as well as with Madina Mahboobi of VDO—an organisation providing multisectoral support to women, children, IDPs, and returnees.
This @ec.europa.eu-funded project is implemented by Social Association for Development of Afghanistan (SADA)—our local partner—with technical support from PIN.
As part of her visit, Hanna, our local colleagues, and our partner SADA, headed to Wardak province to see our partnerships in action. They visited two community-based education (CBE) classes for children, where girls and boys prepare to transition to formal education.
To enhance our locally-led agenda, Hanna Miedviedieva, Global Partnerships Advisor at PIN, paid a recent visit to Afghanistan. She supported our local team in diversifying our partnership portfolio in the country.
In Afghanistan, we explore opportunities to enhance local support for local people. To this end, we facilitate locals-to-locals support activities. In prioritising locally-led action, we have established diverse partnerships with Afghan NGOs and participate in capacity exchanges with local actors.
Between May and August 2025, we supported more than 140,500 people across Ukraine.

Our latest newsletter shares key figures and stories from those behind the numbers. For many, this assistance arrived just in time and made a vital difference. #StandWithUkraine
