At the superb Skillzone run by Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue - it’s a place where groups of young people and children learn about fire hazards and personal safety in a fun and experiential space.
Good piece on BBCPoliticsWest about National Star College students & the challenges they face for funding when they leave education. It’s an amazing place in the North Cotswolds which I’ve supported enthusiastically.

Lib Dems are the winners of by-elections Super Thursday!

💪 Won 7 out of 10 local by-elections
↗️ GAINS from the Conservatives, Labour and the Green Party
🔶 6 from 6 seats in Surrey as what remains of the Blue Wall crumbles away

Congratulations to our brilliant campaign teams and new councillors!
Always a delight to be in Blockley. Great public meeting yesterday talking about the new @libdems.org.uk administration at Gloucestershire County Council and our plan and vision.
As a cat owner the high cost of vet services is something I and many pet owners are concerned about. I welcome the CMA investigation today with its recommendations for action to address this.
Very disappointed to hear that @swasft.bsky.social are ploughing ahead with their decision to stop co-responding work with Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue. The public really value this cooperation. With rural ambulance response times still missing target they surely need all the help they can get.

"During Hate Crime Awareness Week, we call on everyone - individuals, organisations and political leaders - to stand up against hate, support those affected, and help build a society where everyone can live free from fear, prejudice and discrimination."

The new Gloucester library opens on Monday - an amazing modern community space in the heart of the city to transform the old Debenhams building with the @uniofglos.bsky.social
The big increase in violent hate crime across the West as featured on BBC Points West tonight is really disturbing. Politicians have a deep responsibility to stop their own polarising language.
Out and about talking to residents and businesses in Cirencester with Gloucestershire Trading Standards & Fire and Rescue - the team are checking that businesses are fire safe and letting people know what they can do if they experience rogue traders.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Jilly Cooper. I was her councillor in Bisley for a while and met her a number of times. Always found her very warm and welcoming. Her Cotswolds personality and writing will be missed. #RIPJillyCooper
As the Tories start their conference they have never in my life been so irrelevant. Their future looks bleak.
Supporting the work of @dementiauk.bsky.social in helping those dealing with this condition including families and carers - something which impacts alot of people across the North Cotswolds
The two old parties can’t deliver the change we desperately need says @eddavey.libdems.org.uk but don’t let it become Farage’s Britain @libdems.org.uk
Sunshine and optimism at the conference in Bournemouth. Campaigning for animal welfare and health amongst other things! @animalresearch.bsky.social @libdems.org.uk #LDHCAatConf

Our flag does not belong to one creed or to one race. It belongs to one people, the British people.

We will not let our flag be used to intimidate.
Pleased to get backing from colleagues today for the launch of a £1.1 million cash boost for local communities in Gloucestershire. The Grassroots Neighbourhood Fund gives every county councillor £20k to spend on health and wellbeing projects in their area.
Latest inflation figures show that it is baked into the system - the cost of living crisis continues for many #Inflation
We need more of this from Labour. They are too slow on calling out the violence and bigotry of the far right.
