Side note: one of my granddads, the one who spent a lot of time in solitary in Reading Gaol during our War of Independence, later volunteered to fight in Spain. Luckily his sons refused to let him board the boat. What might surprise you is that he was off to join Franco's lot...😄

Most of us are sailing single-handed, so don't have the luxury of being able to compose a good shot with an SLR while controlling the sails and tiller! But the amazing quality of newer phone cameras can produce a decent shot from a quick snap. Here I moved very slowly so as not to ripple the water.

Nah. Code Brown's ( @UPS ) is worse. I spoke to an employee under strict conditions of buying him another pint and he said the "updates" I get of which European obscure airport at which my package is holidaying is entirely fictional. The one when they admit they lost it is often true, though.
