Newcastle pals - I'm discussing the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement with former Irish rugby union international Hugo MacNeill at the Tyneside Irish Centre on Monday (7pm). Hugo refused to tour South Africa in 1981. Free event in a great location.

In 1970 Paddy Devlin MP describes the "misbehaviour of Scots regiments many years ago" / that legacy "carried on" to the Troubles. He is talking about the 1 Bn, Seaforth Highlanders, who clashed with Falls residents in 1921/1922, contrasted unfavourably with 1 Norfolks.
