I got my first Irish passport a few months ago. As well as the importance of the symbolism of having it, the actual physical object is a thing of beauty.
I’ve just declared our intention to hold additional parkruns on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and I’m so excited! Best time of the year in parkrun world. Now to start worrying about the weather 🤣
Despite extensive experience as an RD at big parkrun, and as a volunteer at juniors, tomorrow I’m RD at junior parkrun for the first time and am BRICKING it 😳
Ten years! Congratulations 🥳
Rather a lovely morning at the top of the Hazlehead parkrun course.
Blue sky, sun behind trees, path, fence, golf green.
Not a bad morning for a spot of marshalling at junior parkrun.
A Victorian park. Grass, bandstand, mature trees, blue sky in the distance but low clouds closer by.
My poster-making session earlier in the week paid off at parkrun today.
A display of MacMillan fundraising information and bunting, tied to a fence.
Getting crafty ready for parkrun on Saturday.
Various parkrun / MacMillan cancer support fundraising information signs, bunting etc.
So a different sort of rapture?
I am so sorry you’re going through this x
Gorgeous morning at junior parkrun.
214 parkruns and 319 volunteering credits under my belt, and today was only the 5th time I’ve been tail walker. Quite enjoyed it for a change but looking forward to being RD next week 😀
New event for me today. Really enjoyed it. Cracking route.
The parkrun popup sign for Riverside Park, Glenrothes and the Garmin trace of the route. Four pics: the welcome sign to the park, Haste Ye Back, a Titanic themed totem with parkrun volunteers, and decorated concrete hippos. A view from high up looking down towards the start area and into the park with trees and a big hill in the distance.
I’ve really enjoyed this thread, thank you for all the thought and effort you’ve put in.
New parkrun for me today… did my NENDY in Aberfeldy on the same day another new one starts in Grantown-on-Spey #loveparkrun
And if you’re in the area, the Fortingall Yew is also worth a visit.
Well the Scottish Crannog Centre is rather wonderful.
Run Director duties for our 11th birthday celebrations yesterday.
Four pics: top left, a Run Director wearing lots of pink holds a clipboard and talks into a microphone. Top right, the Hazlehead parkrun popup sign. Bottom left, a round cake with yellow icing, decorated with sprinkles, rainbows and unicorns. Bottom right, a table in a park with a tablecloth decorated with party balloons, covered in cakes and other treats.
That’s an incredible view!
Thank you for posting this stuff, it’s really handy 😊
Lovely visit to my NENDY, Castle Woods parkrun in Aboyne. Deeside has got itself an excellent new event.
The Castle Woods parkrun popup sign on a bed of dried leaves at the edge of a path in front of a stone bridge. The Run Director gives his briefing to the assembled parkrunners from an elevated position in front of a stone bridge. Tall trees, path in dappled sunlight, blue sky.
