Stříhám papír na kusy a lepím je dohromady. I cut paper to pieces and paste them together. I'm making scale models out of (mostly) paper and post (mostly) daily pics. #papercraft #scalemodel #vystrihovanky

A few more pictures of the finished locomotive. #papercraft #train #scalemodel #finallyDone

Thank you 😊 I'd definitely like them to be more than just a texture, but I guess it would complicate the wing frame quite a bit. In the model as is, I think there's a spare running right through where the wells would be.

This FW-190 is a bomber version and the kit has one bomb under the fuselage and two more below each wing. Here's the fuselage one. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels

Unlike the landing gear bay, the landing gear is quite detailed for this model and looks quite nice. WIth a copper wire inside, it is also quite sturdy and solid enough to hold the model. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels
A front view of the model with the completed landing gear, including the covers. A view of the landing gear with the covers attached to it. A detailed view of the landing gear. A top-right view of the model standing on its new landing gear. The landing gear consists just of the wheel and the frame, but the cover is not in place yet.

Built the rear wheel and added it to its bay. As with the rest of the model, the structure of the wheel is relatively simple, but the kit makes up for it with very nice textures. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels
A close view of the wheel inserted into the bay. The wheel is fixed in the extruded position, so that I can later make the model stand. A close-up view of the rear landing wheel. A close-up view of the wheel before I inserted it into the bay.

Completed the wings and the wing fillets. As with the rest of the model, the wings are relatively simple, and many details are just painted on them. Though the texture is very nice, the color tones sadly do not always fit. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels
A detailed view of the bottom of the wings. You can see the landing bay painted on the wings, and also one of the spots where the wing fillet has a significantly different color tone than the rest of the plan - though it should not. A closer look at the wing fillets. A top view of the model with the wings. The wings are relatively simple, from a few pieces of paper, but with very nice textures.

Huh, it looks like I messed up scheduling my posts. I'm sorry for this terrible incident that happens at most once per ten years.

Completed the remaining parts of the fuselage, added a horizontal stabilizer, and started working on wings and vertical stabilizers. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels
A top-left view of the completed fuselage, with the internal frames of the wings and the vertical stabilizers. The horizontal stabilizer is still missing.

Are you sure the original didn't have that gap too? Soviet precision manufacturing and all.

Otherwise, good job, it's coming along nicely👍

Built the front part of the fuselage, all the way to the engine cover. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels

Built the cockpit and parts of fuselage around it. Given the relative simplicity, it goes pretty fast 😄 #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels
The fuselage is now closed. The dashboard and the joystick are still visible. Last view of the (lack of) details inside the cockpit. Even though it's all just a few parts, the textures add a nice touch to it.

Thanks for your kind words😊

Thank you!😊 I'm sure your plastic planes look great😉

The Spitfire is finished, but I'm going to pull another build from the archive to give it a frenemy. This model is a lot simpler than the Spitfire, but it has nice textures that make up for the lack of details. #archive #papercraft #FW190 #scalemodel #histscalemodels

Thanks!😊 I did a few other complex kits before in terms of details but nothing this curved (which is a big deal in paper)
papiracky.bsky.social
Thanks for your kind words😊 Yeah, I was worried about all those curved surfaces, but it came out surprisingly smoothly.

Moc díky 😊 jen myslím, že u mě to není ani tak zručnost jako spíš vytrvalost a tvrdohlavost 😉

After adding the fuel tank, the Spitfire is now complete. That was my first kit of this complexity, and I'm still amazed how well designed it was and tightly everything fits together. #archive #papercraft #Spitfire #scalemodel #histscalemodels

Thank you all for the warm welcome!🤗

The last remaining details is the detachable fuel tank mounted below the front part of the fuselage. #archive #papercraft #Spitfire #scalemodel #histscalemodels
