The main theme is repeated over and over. The wordless voice of Edda Dell'Orso floats on layers of organ, violins, maybe earlier synths, mixed with sparse tickling piano, flugelhorn, harpsichord. Each time you play it, the theme stays in your mind.

Riziero "Riz" Ortolani was an Italian film composer who scored over two-hundred films working mostly within the Italian genres of Mondo, Giallo, and the Spaghetti Western. He used a chorus for this soundtrack.

Dramatic and romantic, at times exciting, it’s a terrific John Barry score bolstered by one of his trademark gorgeous main themes, this time a waltz showcased in the opening titles piece. There’s a great love theme, harmonically close to the main theme

This melancholic, profound and beautiful film music is fantastic and it reminds me of Romy Schneider's life with her many faces. Riz Ortolani's haunting themes are beautifully played by Benny Goodman, like this main them "Unforgettable love".

La Bambola and the title suites in particular are vintage Morricone, perplexingly beautiful and perfectly matched to the imagery of Veruschka, super-model extraordinaire, who takes a surreal journey through the Italian country side.

Alan Silvestri's score it’s a world away from the lush, buoyant music he wrote for the likes of Stuart Little and The Parent Trap, but the music does burst into life. It also contains some of the most surprisingly vicious dissonance the composer has ever written.

Claude Bolling is a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and occasional actor. It's highly probable that Marvin Hamlisch was inspired by this score for "The Sting". The big band sound of the same era is evident in both movies.
