Your words, not mine. I'm well aware of why Irish people don't trust brits. I've had it explained to be rather aggressively. I have and will always wish Ireland and its people the best. I hope decades of chosing not to invest in intel & security & military dont result in something bad.
Funny. I'm all for - as long as it's democratically managed, and all island Ireland. But ireland should learn from other "neutral" European states and understand neutrality has to be both an ongoing investment that has serious costs - one way or the other.
(3) I've worked for Russian parastatals who were interested in Irish opportunities that provided next to 0 financial or operational value - but there were interesting strategic advantages for Moscow. They're always probing. And they don't rate ireland or care about Irish neutrality or its defence
(2) if ireland thinks that its anticolonial victory (almost no one alive can remember) and a commitment to "neutrality" will protect it from hostile forces who want to hurt ireland and the EU - a primary source of IRE wealth - then they're at best naive.
Jesus. Don't hold back. Say what you really think. I've found people with my accent and background don't get to comment on issues such as this. I will however add one small edit. Ireland doesn't just rely on the US for hard military support. The UK has also provided support where necessary. (1)
#teamblewer on holiday so thought I'd introduce Hannah timing my cooking alterego
@mummyinthecity.bsky.social do you get bored of Hampshire's riches? Not a gin drinker but looks like there's a lot down here
#teamblewer coming to the new forest for a long time. 2 kids who love it. The natural beauty of the forest and awesome wildlife engagement. Pigs, horses, sheep, cows, deer, ostriches & bats. Also excellent beer. Hampshire is rich. Missing kirsty and petra.

Sure and it makes sense. Challenge is the inherent volatility in non gas source. Will UK energy become as basket case as Eskom?
Should do for a couple of weeks..... ##boozingwithblewer
Looks like he's at least going to appear to try and do it - then probably blame the anti democratic EU for stopping it, which will be echoed by the two other parties. Putin suggested it. Good way to destabilise EU
Are there any firms whose brands reference Lord of the Rings that ARE NOT really scary right wing control mechanisms?
@philwisden.bsky.social isn't difference between windies then and Oz today the depth of windies pace and aggression lack of world class spin mid / late 80s? Macko / Patto / Ambi / Bish / Cuddy. Add in banned Tweety & Stevenson etc.

When I was very sick and spent 3+ weeks in hospital, the vast majority of staff, particularly non doctors, did not have british accents and a lot of them will not have - when they came - A-Alevel standard education. But they kept the hospital going and me alive.
At significantly lower risk to rhe ICE sicherdienst operators than was the case for the poor bastards flying above occupied Europe at 20000 ft
Didn't they use shadow images of whermacht infantry?
Bits of Australia been doing this for some time- but benefit from low population. Batteries will be a major part of energy systems.
When in doubt, add more butter. #cookingwithpaddy
